Posted on May 8th, 2009 by in Blog, News, Water Conservation

The Los Angeles city council has approved a new water conservation plan. Beginning June 1st, 2009 (video incorrectly states July1st) sprinkler use will be restricted to Mondays and Thursdays for city residents. Landscaping can only be irrigated between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. (has always been in effect). You may only water for 15 minutes if your using sprinklers, 10 minutes with other systems. If you’re washing your vehicle, a nozzle with a shut-off is required. Some residents may see an increase in their water bill since shortage year water rates will also take effect beginning June 1.
